Instructions for use:

Drill tightening
Hold the front part of the drill and the chuck ring in one hand.
With the other hand, insert the drill between the jaws and close the chuck turning the sleeve in a counter-clockwise direction.
Once the jaws are griping the drill, firmly tighten the sleeve.

To release the drill
Hold the drill like during tightening.
Open the chuck by turning the sleeve in the opposite direction.



Mounting & Removing Threaded Chucks:

To Mount
Thread chuck to drill spindle by hand, be sure chuck is seated against mounting surface, replace the left handed thread screw.

To Remove
If drill has a retaining screw, remove this screw (left hand thread) prior to removal of chuck. using a hex type key, remove from spindle.


Mounting & Removing Tapered Chucks: For Tapered Spindles

To Mount
Clean all contact surfaces, with jaws completely retracted use a thin piece of wood to protect the chuck nose, tap the chuck on to the spindle.

To Remove
With the arbor removal system, use the proper hexagonal head threaded screw to remove from the spindle.


Mounting & Removing Tapered Chucks: For Tapered Shank Arbors

To Mount
Clean all surfaces, with jaws completely retracted. Place chuck on a wooden surface, strike tang of arbor lightly to seat. Do not use arbor press, excessive pressure will expand chuck body and distort the jaw holes.

To Remove
Holding the tang of the arbor in a vise, using the proper screw for removal system. Turn screw to remove arbor.
